For much of his life, Lukas Politis has supported childhood cancer research through volunteering and fundraising activities. He has been involved with the Dowey Corp. which holds fundraisers for Sunrise Day Camp. Sunrise Day Camp's mission is to bring back the joys of childhood to children with cancer.

For the past 10 years, Mr. Politis has participated in a St. Baldrick’s fundraiser that invites volunteers to shave their heads in solidarity with people undergoing cancer treatment. As a result of his commitment, he was recognized as a St. Baldrick’s Knight Commander.

After graduating from high school, Lukas Politis started working toward a bachelor’s degree in media and strategic communications at Iona College. As a member of the Zeta Kappa Chi fraternity, he continues to raise funds for charitable organizations.

While in college, he has worked as a driving assistant for Manhattan Beer Distributors. In his free time, he enjoys snowboarding, hiking and fishing.
