Marc Wolpers is a longtime Connecticut resident who holds an MBA and an undergraduate degree in finance, and maintains a strong focus on family in his daily life. Having volunteered as an athletics coach, Marc Wolpers has trained for triathlon competitions and also regularly takes part in community bike rides and runs with his son and daughter.
When it comes to supporting charities through running and cycling, Mr. Wolpers has a personal investment in raising money for cancer, as many family members suffered from various forms of the disease. He participated in a 12-mile bike ride that generated funds for the Damon Runyon Cancer Research Foundation. As part of his participation, he was able to learn more about breakthrough discoveries that the foundation has supported over the years, including those that culminated in a number of its associated scientists winning the Nobel Prize.
Along with biking and running, Mr. Wolpers has an interest in swimming, which was a late blooming one that took root when his children became interested in learning to swim competitively, and he needed to learn the skills to participate with them. Beyond sporting events, Marc Wolpers supports organizations such as Habitat for Humanity, which helps make the promise of home ownership a reality for families in need.
