Currently serving as the principal of Fresno, California-based IE/Cal Design & Development Center, Marcus Asay has built a career grounded on his knowledge of marketing, fundraising, and finance and distinguished himself for his concern for the rights of women and underrepresented groups in the workforce. Marcus Asay also leads World Workforce International as its founder, president, and CEO and works through that organization to advance the interests of working people everywhere.
Marcus Asay received his BS in public and business administration from California State University, Sacramento, and MBA from Thunderbird School of Global Management in Arizona. Early positions in the world of marketing include work as a customer service lead with the Los Angeles Clippers and the assistant vice president of special projects and marketing for the Utah Jazz. In the latter capacity, Mr. Asay used his executive skills to assist in taking the franchise from $10 million in debt to a $15 million sale.
Marcus Asay’s professional history also includes service to a range of emerging companies and venture capital efforts. Moreover, his work as a director of the Community Medical Foundation in Fresno resulted in the raising of some $2 million in support of the foundation’s burn and trauma center at Community Medical Centers.
