The recipient of a bachelor's degree in computer information systems from Rhode Island College, Mario Atoyan worked as a computer consultant at Westerly Hospital and Adecco Technical before deciding to pursue a career in education. After obtaining a teaching certificate in general science from Providence College in 2006, Mario Atoyan was hired by Warwick Public Schools and spent 10 years as a science teacher at Gorton Junior High School.
In addition to educating students, Mario Atoyan served as administrator for JupiterGrades, helped develop the Grade 7 curriculum, and installed and trained teachers on Eno Boards and SmartBoards. He also worked as coach of the school's Chess Club and Science Olympiad and leveraged his computer background to help his colleagues with computer-related issues.
Mr. Atoyan presently serves as a courier at FedEx and provides independent consulting services to HealthCare Analytics in Providence, Rhode Island. Beyond spending time with his family, his hobbies include hiking with his dog as well as purchasing and rehabilitating broken mechanical items for re-sale.
