Marlise Streitmatter is an accomplished change leader with experience turning around and managing programs with a variety of United States government departments. Her career highlights range from successfully leading fundraising and Congressional campaigns to improving a U.S. cabinet agency from the lowest ranked agency in the country to one of the top 10 best places to work in government. Early in her career, Marlise Streitmatter taught English in Nagakute, Aichi, Japan. Between 1989 and 2008 she held a number of high level positions, including time as special assistant to the Deputy Secretary of Defense and senior advisor of North American affairs at the World Bank in Washington, D.C.

In 2009, Marlise Streitmatter took on a senior role at the U.S. Department of Transportation as deputy chief of staff to Secretary Ray LaHood. In this role she managed daily operations at the federal regulatory and grant making agency, including overseeing 56,000 employees and a $79 billion operating budget. For the last five years she has served as a senior consultant at LMI in Tysons, Virginia, a role that involves leading multi-million dollar projects for the U.S. Department of State, the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, and other major government agencies. Ms. Streitmatter received the the company's highest award for her work as part of team the exemplified LMI's values of expertise, dedication, commitment to quality, and high impact in addressing the toughest challenges faced by government managers.

Ms. Streitmatter studied international policy and administration at the University of Illinois at Springfield, graduating with a bachelor of arts with highest honors. She also studied in Antwerp, Belgium as part of a European exchange program at Georgetown University and she holds a degree in applied science from the Illinois Central College.
