A consultant serving retail and consumer clients, Matthew Hamory leads KPMG’s U.S. Consumer And Retail Strategy practice. As a principal with the firm, he builds strong business relationships with executive clients interested in enhancing their companies’ market adaptability and customer service capabilities. Matthew Hamory is especially knowledgeable in industries like wholesale, food, drug, and specialty retail. When serving clients in these industries and beyond, he brings to bear the kind of data-focused methodologies that drive business success.
Before becoming a consultant, Matthew Hamory enrolled at Princeton University, where he graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in ecology and evolutionary biology. As an undergraduate, he authored a thesis that measured the likelihood of malaria infection for children living in certain African countries. He was also a member of the Princeton Chapel Choir and the school’s Taekwondo Club.
In his private life, Mr. Hamory runs regularly. He has participated in half-marathons and Boston’s Memorial Day Run to Remember. His oldest children have started running recently, and he hopes that they will pursue running together as a family.
