Matthew (Matt) Key is an experienced educator with a bachelor of arts in history from Georgia State University and a master of science in educational leadership and administration from Capella University. From 1997 to 2017, he taught fifth- and sixth-grade social studies at Woodward Academy’s Woodward North campus in the Atlanta suburb of Johns Creek. During his tenure at Woodward North, Matthew Key developed a reputation for incorporating computer technology into the classroom, as well as innovative lesson plans and dedication to individualized student attention. He also was an inaugural member of Leadership Woodward and a participant in Harvard’s New and Aspiring Leadership Program.
Matt Key currently resides in the Atlanta suburb of Cumming and works as a sales representative for YHP Publications in Smyrna. Outside the professional arena, he is an avid churchgoer who loves to sing, and a versatile athlete who runs, golfs, fishes, and plays tennis.
