As the portfolio manager at the New Jersey-based Private Investors, Matthew Plotkin is responsible for overseeing real estate valued at over $20 million, spanning rental units across five properties in New York and New Jersey. In the role, which he has held since 2012, Matthew Plotkin also oversees the marketing of these units, alongside other duties.

Since joining the family company, he has been responsible for several projects, such as the development of a platform that helped streamline communication with suppliers and tenants. He also established an inventory system that enables greater asset protection and risk mitigation while also reducing costs. Mr. Plotkin has had a significant impact on the company’s revenue growth, with his efforts to automate the accounts receivable process for tenants helping to achieve a 98 percent collection rate.

Matthew Plotkin holds a B.B.A in management from Hofstra University, from which he graduated in 2012. He minored in information technology.
