Melissa Harton is an experienced administrative professional who presently focuses on raising her children as a stay-at-home mom. As board liaison and administrative services manager with Maryland Nonprofits for many years, Melissa Harton also engaged as executive assistant to the CEO of the Baltimore organization.
Ms. Harton’s duties included responsibilities as acting liaison to a Board of Directors consisting of two dozen CEOs. She provided management of the board election process and oversaw activities of the Board Nominating Committee. She also prepared documents, correspondence, and minutes as required.
Ms. Harton’s prior professional background included a position with Power/Excel, Inc., in Baltimore as case manager and executive assistant. In that position, she oversaw administrative support functions for the CEO, from calendar planning to travel arrangements. She also assisted clients, who were members of at-risk populations, in obtaining employment and re-entry, providing education in areas such as job skills and financial management.
