Michael Carroll, who resides in Irvine, California, holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from American University, as well as a law degree from St. John’s University. He has worked in corporate law for over 20 years, starting as a corporate attorney for New York firm Willkie Farr & Gallagher in 1998. While with the firm, Michael Carroll provided legal advice on matters such as mergers and acquisitions, securities law, and strategic joint ventures.
As an attorney and general counsel for Medallion Financial Corporation, Mr. Carroll was tasked with everything from directing the company’s litigation to corporate finance, contracts, and securities regulation. In 2005, he founded CorpGen Counsel in his home of Irvine, a firm that specializes in cost-effective counsel for businesses of all types, acting both as legal counsel and business advisor to everything from publicly traded corporations to family-owned businesses.
In his free time, Mr. Carroll has a passion for reading and studying American history, as well as creative writing projects. He is also an avid skier and fisherman, as he enjoys being outdoors. With more than a fleeting interest in local politics, Michael Carroll has served as planning commissioner and city commissioner of parks and recreation for the city of Irvine.
