A Dallas resident, Michael Gonzales studied political science at the University of Texas, where he was the school's chess champion and No. 2 ranked player in the state. Drawing upon decades of professional experience, Michael Gonzales currently serves as the president of the Dallas-based Busca-Apps, through which he designs and develops mobile apps for a wide range of companies, including the Dallas Independent School District.
Under his leadership, Busca-Apps has also developed apps for Los Lupes, National Latino Law Enforcement Organization, and the Vote Victoria Neave campaign. The company's development team specializes in application capabilities such as push notifications, loyalty rewards, and coupons.
In addition to his professional pursuits, Mr. Gonzales is a leader in Dallas' Hispanic community, having led protests in support of Spanish-speaking teachers and served two stints as chairman of the Greater Dallas Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. He was also awarded Businessman of the Year by the organization.
