Entrepreneur Michael Harrelson is founder of the Ridgely, Tennessee-based Epurga, which he established in 2011. At the firm, Michael Harrelson manages a team of subcontractors and engineering firms while working with a range of professionals, including patent-owner and his licensor, Mississippi State University.
Alongside Epurga, Mr. Harrelson is vice president of operations at Rett Express, which he joined in 2018. As part of his responsibilities at the company, which achieved Department of Transportation compliance for the first time in a decade, he manages sales, human resources, and insurance teams, among others.
At the same time that he joined Rett Express, Michael Harrelson joined Ridgely, Tennessee-based ECM. There, he serves as vice president of operations, overseeing the accounting, equipment acquisition, among other responsibilities. Similar to Rett, he helped ECM become regulatory compliant for the first time since 2009.
Outside of his career, he enjoys Broadway plays and travel. He holds a degree in civil engineering, which he earned from the Georgia Institute of Technology, and is also a certified landfill operator.
