Based in Massachusetts’ southeastern region, Michael Rae most recently served as technician with Verizon and was a lead lineman responsible for moving, dismantling, and removing equipment outside a telephone plant. Reading and evaluating engineering plans, Michael Rae worked to move cables, wires, and hardware, including those in aerial and underground configurations.
Holding an electrical diploma from Blue Hills Technical School, Mr. Rae also completed his associate’s degree at Massasoit Community College in 1998. He subsequently spent three years in the United States Coast Guard and served as Petty Officer Second Class and as machinery technician. His accomplishments included receiving the US Coast Guard Citation for Saving Lives in 2003.
Mr. Rae completed his education with a bachelor's and master’s degree in criminal justice earned at Curry College in 2016, and he also holds Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response certification. Passionate about giving back to his community, Michael Rae has helped raise money for charities focused on Alzheimer’s and neurofibromatosis research.
