A graduate of the Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the University of Houston, Michal Heiplik has built a track record of fundraising innovation and results over the past two decades. He began his career with Houston Public Media in 2001, and over the next decade served as database and e-marketing manager and director of membership for the Public Broadcasting Service. Among other achievements during this time, Michal Heiplik led development of an innovative fundraising platform that dramatically increased fundraising revenue.
In 2011, Michal Heiplik moved to Boston, Massachusetts, to join public radio station WGBH as the executive director of membership marketing. There, he implemented a multi-pronged membership and fundraising program that increased annual revenue by 25 percent through individual, door-to-door, digital, and other ways of giving. During this time, Mr. Heiplik concurrently held the role of executive director of Contributor Development Partnership (CDP), a WGBH-led collaboration that raised funds for public media stations.
Michal Heiplik draws upon this background in his current role as co-founder and executive vice president of CDP, which became an independent public benefit corporation in 2018. In this leadership role, he leverages his experience in data-driven solutions and commitment to innovation to guide an organization that has helped member public media companies raise nearly $200 million over the past several years.
