As vice president of originations for Capital One Multifamily Finance, Monica Johnson Schroeder (SCS) facilitates the origination and management of loans for manufactured home and multifamily communities. She joined the firm in its prior incarnation as Beech Street Capital, where she served as assistant vice president and senior real estate analyst. In this position, Monica Johnson Schroeder conducted preliminary analysis on new loan arrangements and managed the closing of loans for purchase by lenders.

Ms. Schroeder comes to her work with 20 years of experience in lending. She entered the financial sector as an administrative assistant with Amsouth Bank in Alabama, then moved on to focus on real estate lending as a senior closing specialist with Collateral Real Estate Capital. There, she continued to close loans for lender purchase and expanded her experience base to include closing of loan assumptions for commercial mortgage-backed securities.

Subsequently hired as a senior real estate analyst for Capmark Finance, now known as Berkadia Commercial Mortgage, Monica Schroeder analyzed and underwrote commercial loans ranging in value from $2.5 million to $20 million. She moved on to Beech Street Capital in 2010.
