Before beginning his career as a biomedical engineer, Nady Rizkallah earned a BS in electronic engineering from the University of Cairo. He subsequently relocated to the United States, where he accepted a position as a medical electronics technician. In this role, Nady Rizkallah installed, modified, and performed maintenance on a variety of communications systems and medical equipment at King/Drew Medical Center in Los Angeles. Complementing his work during this time, he began graduate studies in computer science at California State University, Fullerton.

Nady Rizkallah spent nine years as a technician before earning two promotions, first to senior medical electronics technician and shortly thereafter to medical electronics equipment specialist. While serving in the second position, which he ultimately held for 28 years, Mr. Rizkallah graduated from California State University, Fullerton, with his master’s degree in computer science.

Today, Nady Rizkallah brings his biomedical-engineering background to Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science in Los Angeles. Serving as a simulation-center specialist, he oversees the operation, programming, and maintenance of a range of electronic equipment. Active in his field, he belongs to the Society for Simulation in Healthcare and stands out as the coauthor of a number of papers that have been presented at professional gatherings.
