Naomi Tetherly earned a bachelor's degree in psychology from Columbia University and a master’s degree in school administration from American International College. Now pursuing an education position in Western Massachusetts, Naomi Tetherly began working at Robert M. Hughes Academy Charter Public School in 2005 as a Grade 3 English and Social Studies teacher.
Also a special education director, Ms. Tetherly worked alongside the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education to develop a comprehensive, coordinated program review. Prior to her career in education, Ms. Tetherly worked three years as a disability claims examiner with Hartford Life Insurance Company, where she investigated and compiled data to make claim determinations based on company guidelines, terms of policy, and state regulations.
An avid runner, Ms. Tetherly is a member of the Empire One Running Club in Holyoke and has completed multiple half-marathons and trail races. She's also a health-conscious vegetarian who enjoys entertaining and cooking new recipes for friends.
