While studying political science at Southern Methodist University (SMU), Nate Crain was an active student leader with numerous campus organizations. He also received two John L. Freehafer Memorial Awards for student governance and an M Award for student service. Nate Crain received his bachelor of science in 1992.
Three years later, he founded Crain Information Systems, a versatile consulting firm that he continues to lead as its president and CEO. Under his direction, the firm aids in business startup processes, nonprofit development, and overall strategic planning.
In addition to his accomplishments in business, Mr. Crain has served terms as the chairman of the Dallas County Republican Party and vice chairman of the Republican Party of Texas State Finance Committee. In 2005, Campaigns and Elections magazine named him a “Rising Star.”
As an alumnus of SMU, Nate Crain has served on two Student Affairs Capital Campaign Committees and the Student Affairs Committee of the SMU Board of Trustees.
