Strategic Consulting Solutions in Washington DC

Potomac Management

Based in Washington DC, Neil Alpert heads Potomac Management and works with a global client base in delivering strategic advisory consulting solutions. Neil Alpert previously led LaserLock Technologies, Inc. He joined the publicly traded company in 2012 as president and chief operating officer, with a focus on spearheading re-capitalization efforts.

Quickly earning a promotion to CEO, Mr. Alpert expanded the organization, which provided digital and print anti-counterfeiting technologies. Its innovative system was capable of both verifying personal identities and documenting the provenance and authenticity of material items. He oversaw LaserLock’s successful sale to a New York-based ownership group in 2015.

Mr. Alpert’s experience includes a variety of positions with nonprofits. For instance, he held responsibilities as director of institutional relations with the Washington National Opera. Coordinating with artists such as Placido Domingo, he guided fundraising at various levels and pioneered a strategy that brought in both civic and federal funding. Mr. Alpert is one of the people credited with creating Opera in the Outfield, a truly successful program that brings free live opera simulcast by Washington National Opera to Nationals Park in Washington, DC. Tens of thousands of music lovers have attended the free event over the years.

Mr. Alpert also serves on the National Infrastructure Advisory Council, a government advisory council, which advises the President of the United States on the security of information systems in banking, finance, transportation, energy, manufacturing, and emergency government services.

A respected voice in his field, Neil Alpert has presented at a number of conference settings and given speeches on both anti-counterfeiting and on the importance of the arts in our communities.
