Nick Tonsich serves as president and CEO of Clean Air Engineering - Maritime (CAEM), a San Pedro, California, provider of ship-exhaust-treatment services. Since assuming his leadership responsibilities in 2010, he has guided CAEM in developing a first-of-its-kind alternative control technology approved by the California Air Resources Board. In recognition of its innovation, Nick Tonsich’s company earned the 2016 Clean Air Technology of the Year Award from the South Coast Air Quality Management District.

Since 2008, Nick Tonsich also has owned and served as president and CEO of Ocean Terminal Services (OTS). Working from offices in San Pedro, he oversees 120 mechanics who perform repairs and maintenance of contained terminal equipment at the Ports of Long Beach and Los Angeles. Under his helm, OTS has built a sterling safety reputation, one that has resulted in the company garnering numerous safety awards from the Pacific Maritime Association.

Nick Tonsich holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Southern California and a juris doctor from Whittier College. He previously drew on his law degree in his role as managing partner of San Pedro law firm Glaser & Tonsich. Beyond his professional pursuits, Mr. Tonsich stays active in his community through his support of a number of organizations, including the Boys and Girls Club of LA Harbor and Providence Little Company of Mary Foundation. He also helps to deliver life-changing services to members of the San Pedro community in his capacity as a board trustee of Toberman Neighborhood Center.
