A board-certified general surgeon and American College of Surgeons fellow, Dr. Pachavit Kasemsap holds a doctor of medicine (MD) from Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, and completed a general surgery internship at the United States Air Force Wilford Hall Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas. Pachavit Kasemsap, MD, subsequently embarked on a surgical career that would include 8 years of active duty with the Air Force and 5 years in private practice.

Dr. Pachavit Kasemsap continued to further his medical training and education, while undergoing residency training in general surgery at the University of Illinois at Chicago in the late 1990s and early 2000s,. He went on to obtain a master of business administration with a focus on health sector management from the University of Miami in the early 2010s. After expanding into medical administration, he obtained Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification from the University of North Florida. Most recently, Pachavit Kasemsap, MD, served a year and a half as a senior medical director with the health insurance company Highmark, Inc.
