A graduate of Fairleigh Dickinson University in the New York metropolitan area township of Teaneck, New Jersey, Pamela Targan holds a master’s degree in psychology. She ultimately settled in Southern New Jersey, where she served eight years as a classroom instructor with the Egg Harbor Township Board of Education. Drawing upon deep personal interests in painting and sculpture, Pamela Targan taught 7th and 8th-grade students at Slaybaugh Middle School.
Since retiring as an educator, she has remained active in the art world as a collector. Her other hobbies include horseback riding and hat making. Over the years, Pamela Targan has combined both of these loves as a frequent attendee at the Devon Horse Show in Devon, Pennsylvania, and a competitor at the Devon Horse Show’s Ladies Day Hat Contest. She has also served as president of the Charity League of Atlantic County and sat on the Hostess Committee of the Miss America Pageant.
