Graphenstone UK: Eco-Building- the Living House

Another successful project we have at Graphenstone eco paints store was performed in New Zealand.

Our team worked hard on this project to make it the first Living Building Challenge in New Zealand. This project turned out to be the first certified building by the Net Zero Energy Certification and also this project got the acknowledgement of the Passive House Certification.

This house is an excellent example of a home building that fulfills all the requirements established by the two certification Houses.
To build this home building, the constructors considered the most advanced sustainable construction solutions within the built environment, especially taking into account the eco-friendly environment we wanted it to have.

The project will be consolidated as the first “Passive House” because it has a self-sufficient housing system which contributes to keeping the environment as an eco-friendly one. We applied special eco-friendly paints on the exterior and interior walls of the building, and we also considered energy-saving light bulbs, which contributed to save lots of money in energy bills.

Another important aspect we incorporated in the home building was the recycling bins. They were included in the kitchen furniture to instill this habit in the owners of each apartment since they started using the apartment.
