For more than four decades, private investor Paul Liska served as a corporate executive. A graduate of the University of Notre Dame and Northwestern University, he has worked for such companies as Kraft, the Quaker Oats Company, Motorola, and The St. Paul. During this time, he maintained a positive track record of leading multibillion-dollar companies, cutting operation costs, and managing financial reporting and accounting functions. Although Paul Liska served as CFO during much of his career, his responsibilities frequently went beyond the scope of his title and included such responsibilities as restructuring and overseeing mergers and acquisitions.
Over the years, Mr. Liska frequently leveraged his business expertise to serve on multiple boards. He was on the board of directors for such organizations as the John Nuveen Company, Walker Arts Center, and Sears Canada. In addition to that, he served on the board of Hunter Fan Company and CNA Financial Corporation. Meanwhile, Mr. Liska was the executive chairman at Weekly Reader Corporation and USF Corporation, and served on the board of trustees for Edgewood College. These board roles have given Paul Liska experience in a diversity of industries, including publishing, retail, technology, and insurance.
