An accomplished executive who has served as a CFO, board member, and CEO of numerous energy-related companies, Peter Heintzelman brings nearly three decades of experience to his position as CEO and president of Cobb Electric Membership Corporation (EMC) in Marietta, Georgia. In this leadership position, he guides a nearly $1 billion entity that stands as the second-largest energy group in Georgia and the largest EMC in the United States. Under the direction of Peter Heintzelman, Cobb EMC has earned a reputation as one of the most innovative energy companies in the region through initiatives such as free overnight residential charging for electric vehicles.
Prior to joining Cobb EMC, Peter Heintzelman held leadership positions with distinguished companies across the world, including serving as interim CEO of Alevo International in Concord, North Carolina; CFO of T5 Oil and Gas in London; and consulting vice president of Shelf Drilling in Dubai. Mr. Heintzelman also draws upon seven years of experience with Halliburton operations in Haiti, the US Virgin Islands, and Dubai, as well as a successful tenure with Standard Bank, during which he facilitated energy projects across Africa.
Peter Heintzelman earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Texas, Austin, before going on to receive an MBA at the Thunderbird School of Global Management, where he studied international finance and graduated with honors. He also holds a Financial Times executive non-director diploma.
