A Massachusetts-based equity analyst with more than two decades of investment research experience, Pieter Stalenhoef serves as the designated consumer, media, and healthcare analyst of the Wells Fargo Capital Management's Global Opportunities Fund. The Morningstar 4-star fund is ranked among the top decile for 1, 3, 5, and 10-year performance. Pieter Stalenhoef has held this position since 2010, prior to which he served as lead analyst for the firm's Latin American and Russian Emerging Market Fund. Through five years in this capacity, he facilitated asset under management growth from under $400 million to $5 billion.
When it was known as Evergreen Investments, Pieter Stalenhoef served the firm as an associate analyst and senior research assistant. He previously worked with Fidelity Investments in varying capacities, including as a research associate and premium client services representative and team leader. He began his career in 1992 as a sales representative with Provident Bank.
Mr. Stalenhoef holds a master's degree in investment management from Boston University and a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Vermont, where he was a member of the school's tennis team and Student Association Senator for its Finance Committee. He is a CFA charterholder and holds membership with the Boston Security Analysts Society.
