Over the last four decades, Prabhat Paul Jain has founded and led several technology companies, powering the advancement of multimedia communication products and impacting the lives of millions of people around the world. Some of these companies include Solectron, Value Media, Dazzle Multimedia, and Emuzed. Through them, Prabhat Paul Jain pioneered technologies such as PCI cards, MPEG 1 and 2 cards, RGB color cards, and VGA chips that were used by computer companies such as Apple, HP, Dell, and IBM. He also developed software engines for compressing and decompressing audio for mobile phones used by mobile phone companies such as Nokia, Samsung, and Motorola.
Prabhat Jain studied physics at Stephen’s College in Delhi, India, before proceeding to the University of Vienna (Schwachstrom) and later the University of California, Berkeley for graduate and post-graduate degrees in bioelectronics. Throughout his career in Silicon Valley, Prabhat Jain has had the honor of working with intelligent and talented people like Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak (Apple), Bill Gates and Steve Ballmer (Microsoft), and Andy Grove (Intel). He has forged strong relations with professionals in tech, academia, and venture capital, and he now leverages these, together with his background, to build and distribute low bandwidth communication technologies for emerging markets at SliQBits.
