Pragna Chakravarti is a respected presence in the cosmetics development sphere who has engaged with JAFRA as chief scientific officer and senior vice president of worldwide research and development for more than two decades. Pragna Chakravarti’s areas of responsibility include ensuring that stringent safety standards are met prior to product launch.

Among Ms. Chakravarti’s accomplishments was successfully bringing to market the JAFRA Pro skin care line, which launched in 2012. The products are designed to rejuvenate the skin and help maintain a young skin appearance. She also had a leadership role in the development and launch of product lines such as Royal Jelly Lift Concentrate and JAFRA Advanced Dynamics. The latter employs an eco-friendly cold manufacturing process and incorporates glycoscience technologies.

Ms. Chakravarti’s company does not engage in animal testing and is known for its all-natural products that have undergone extensive independent testing. Under her guidance, JAFRA has achieved a Skin Cancer Foundation Seal of Recommendation for products such as the skin care line Men Dynamics. Pragna Chakravarti holds a graduate degree in cosmetic science from St. Johns University in Queens.
