R. Darryl Thomas is a multi-dimensional renaissance man. He is: Music Industry Executive, Recording Artist, Composer, Arranger, Conductor, Pianist, Organist, Vocal Soloist, Charismatic Performer, Published Author and Entrepreneur. Educated at Roosevelt University’s Chicago College of Performing Arts, Thomas champions distinctive brilliance in delivery and execution. He is an Imaginative, Inspired and Innovative Musical Force.
At Carnegie Hall, Thomas achieved noteworthy accomplishment as a vocalist, rendering Mozart’s Vesperae Solennes de Dominica (K. 321) with a more than 300-voice chorus complemented by the New England Symphony. Accompanying the College of Lake County Gospel Choir, Thomas opened for such luminaries as Ramsey Lewis, Donald Lawrence and Charles G. Hayes. He enhanced Sue Conway Victory Singers’ Italy Tour, contributing to extensive concerts from Milan to Venice. Thomas performed with the famed Chicago Sinfonietta. He provided lead vocals on Alex Chapin’s recording project, Live in Aruba: Under the Melody Tent and he is freshly investing studio production on his own recording project.
