A principal of Nexant in Washington, DC, Rebecca Gaskin Gain holds a bachelor of arts in history with honors from Wake Forest University and a juris doctor from the Emory University School of Law. After completing her third-year curriculum through the Asian Legal Studies program at Columbia Law School, Rebecca Gaskin Gain entered the legal arena in the early 1990s, as a senior court attorney with the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court of New York.
Subsequently establishing herself as a skilled advisor and consultant, she worked for organizations including the Russian Privatisation Centre, the Ugandan Ministry of Finance, and First Banking Corporation Limited in Zimbabwe. She returned to the academic environment to complete the Foundations of Finance program at the Amsterdam Institute of Finance and doctoral studies in Islamic finance at Insaniah University College in Malaysia.
