Rob Woodfork

Established Sports and Traffic Reporter with WTOP-FM

WTOP

A longtime sports and traffic reporter with WTOP, 103.5 FM in Washington, D.C., Rob Woodfork also serves as a digital editor and blogger at WTOP.com. Woodfork joined the all-news station in 2011 and started out filling various roles as a member of the WTOP Traffic Center before tackling additional duties with sports and web.

A major focus for Woodfork is covering the NFL, including his weekly NFL Recap on WTOP.com. He recently wrote about the New England Patriots and New Orleans Saints' playoff losses that represent a “changing of the guard” among the NFL's elite. He has also authored two Olympic series that earned critical recognition, and has tackled timely issues such as the NFL's national anthem controversy and the league's issues with minority hires.

Woodfork spent several years in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, and gained a professional foothold through the production of morning traffic updates with Metro Networks. Woodfork quickly rose up through the ranks and was the traffic anchor for FOX43's popular regional morning newscast.
