The recipient of a bachelor's in history and master's in public administration from the University of Florida, Robert "Bob" Baldwin has since built a successful 40-year career as a civic leader. Robert Baldwin began his career in 1976 as a budget analyst in Gainesville, Florida, and two years later was hired as assistant city manager with the City of Fort Lauderdale. He held the appointed position for 12 years, during which time he helped launch the city's 10-year Community Redevelopment Master Plan, supervised construction of a misdemeanant detention facility, and developed the Spring Break Task Force.
Bob Baldwin later held a similar position with the City of Hollywood and served as director of administration with the Broward County Sheriff's Office. In 1995, he was hired as town manager of Town of Lauderdale-by-the-Sea and went on to spend 12 years in that capacity. He presently serves as city manager of Dania Beach, where he is tackling redevelopment issues and projects in what is Broward County's oldest city. In addition to his responsibilities at Dania Beach, he is part owner of Campus Creations, which imports native handicrafts for domestic sale.
