After having retired with the rank of battalion chief from 23 years with the fire department in Atlantic City, New Jersey, Roderick Knox works as the assistant chief school administrator for the Principle Academy Charter School in Egg Harbor Township. His work includes being head of human resources, managing the hiring of staff members from management to kitchen workers.
In addition to his position at Principal Academy, Roderick Knox is working toward his PhD in Strategic Leadership at Liberty University in Virginia. He also holds a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Cheyney University, where he received an award for Outstanding Academic Accomplishment, as well as a master’s in Strategic Leadership from Liberty.
Mr. Knox is also a pastor of a local church, and on the executive board for the local Police Athletic League. When not at work, he can be found spending time in boxing training as well as watching all levels of basketball and football.
