A tennis professional since 2006, Roger Clarke has served for the past six years as a full-time member of the instructional staff at Hinsdale Racquet Club near Chicago, Illinois. He has taught a number of students who are now competitive players, one of whom went on to secure the role of captain with her high school team. Through his work at Hinsdale Racquet Club, Roger Clarke enjoys helping all students, regardless of age or athletic ability, to improve as tennis players and grow as people.
In the summertime, Mr. Clarke balances his work at Hinsdale with continuing service at the LaGrange Country Club. He has been a member of the club's teaching staff since he was a high school student and balances these responsibilities with service in the club's pro shop. There, he guides club members to the correct shoes, racquets, and other accessories. He also contributes to the upkeep of the club's clay courts, so that players can enjoy well-maintained surfaces.
Further, Roger Clarke shares his skills with the community as a presenter in schools and as a participant in an annual event with Catholic Charities of Chicago. Fond of reading in his free time, he also enjoys playing tennis for his own pleasure.
