A graduate of Penn State University in State College, Pennsylvania, Rory Rineer earned his bachelor of arts degree in business with a concentration in marketing. After beginning his career as an underwriter, agent, and marketing representative with multiple insurance firms in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, Rory Rineer went into business for himself as the owner and president of the Professional Liability Agency (PLA). This Harrisburg-based insurance agency specializes in providing medical malpractice coverage for health care providers in three northeastern states.

In addition to his ongoing leadership role at PLA, Mr. Rineer serves as owner and president of three additional businesses and was a past board member of the Pennsylvania Joint Underwriting Association. His business interests include the commercial property investment and management firm Rineer Family Real Estate Investments, the residential and commercial real estate organization Rineer Brothers, and the personal and commercial risk insurer PLA Brokerage Services dba Risk Transfer Advisors.
