A Western University of Health Sciences osteopathic medicine student, Ruhi Patil is a respected presence in her campus community. In addition to serving on the student government as a curriculum representative, Ruhi Patil is a coordinator of volunteers at the low-income patient focused Montclair Clinic. Her work centers on ensuring that local residents with limited financial means are able to access quality health care, and she handles paperwork and daily operations.
While earning her master’s degree at the University of Southern California (USC), Ms. Patil served as a senator in the USC Graduate Student Government and voted on resolutions and funding matters. She sought to forge a stronger relationship between the student government and the USC Global Medicine Program, and introduced a resolution to provide bridge support to members of the student body at risk of losing financial aid.
Ms. Patil holds an undergraduate degree from the University of California, Los Angeles, and earned the institution’s Chancellor's Service Award. Graduating cum laude with Latin Honors, she was selected as a member of the Alpha Lambda Delta honor society. Among Ruhi Patil’s campus activities was serving on the Undergraduate Students Association Council, where she strove to create a more affordable system for students.
