As a communications professional, Ryan Shucard has facilitated public relations initiatives for both government officials and nonpolitical private clients. He began his career after receiving dual bachelor's degrees from the University of Northern Colorado, where he studied public relations and advertising as well as international relations. Ryan Shucard then joined the office of United States Senator Joseph Lieberman as a Special Projects Assistant for the senator's staff.
Ryan Shucard went on to serve as an associate for the public affairs group DDC Advocacy and later as the Media Relations Manager for the American Retirement Association. He then returned to politics as Congressman Tom Marino’s Press Secretary.
Ryan Shucard has since returned to the private sector. He now serves as the Vice President of Media Relations for SevenTwenty Strategies, where he oversees the agency's media relations efforts for its clients.
In his free time, he enjoys such activities as mountain biking, snowboarding, and hiking.
