Born in Bournemouth, Dorset in 1986, Sam Najafi currently works as a freelance property writer, writing about topics such as DIY, renovations, eco homes and regeneration.
In this position Najafi is not only freelance but remote, as his writing contracts enable him to work from any location of his choosing. Thanks to the flexibility of his job, Najafi is able to pursue his other passion in life – travel – while still pursuing his ambitions and dreams as a writer.
With the ability to work from anywhere in the world, Najafi is able to continue exploring. So far, he has visited a great number of different countries, absorbing each individual culture. One of Najafi’s favourite destinations is South America, particularly as he enjoys the food in this region. However, he has also enjoyed spending time in Madagascar and many of the countries in East Asia. Najafi has travelled extensively across East Asia, exploring Cambodia, Vietnam, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia and Malaysia.
Before working as a freelance property writer, Najafi attended the University of Brighton, where he studied English Literature and Creative Writing. Graduating with a BA Honours degree, Najafi has been able to work in this field in a freelance and remote capacity.
An avid fan of water sports, Najafi loves to surf and paddle board, which he mastered thanks to a childhood spent in the coastal town of Bournemouth. Martial arts are another passion of Najafi’s, particularly the martial art Capoeira, which hails from Afro-Brazilian culture and combines dance, acrobatics and music with elements of traditional martial arts.
