In the field of professional coaching today, there are approximately 20,000 coaches who hold a credential awarded by the International Coach Federation. Of that number, I am one of approximately 700 coaches worldwide who hold the Master Certified Coach designation.

I first began coaching individuals and teams in the late 1970s when I was an early and active participant in the human potential movement. As a result of being a pioneer in the coaching industry, I bring a unique approach that blends traditional and progressive techniques to address matters of leading with mindfulness, heart and soul that most coaching methodologies overlook.

As a seasoned transformational coach and organizational consultant with over 25 years experience, I have trained, coached and mentored thousands of leaders and individuals nationally in numerous industries including banking, education, healthcare, insurance, manufacturing, retail, transportation and several non-profit organizations. My focus has been on developing leaders that exhibit the mindset and competencies to lead with greater influence, impact and results.

In my capacity as a mentor coach and developer of coaching competencies in organizational leaders, I have also developed hundreds of internal leadership coaches in both business and education since 1992. For the past 10+ years, I have been working primarily within school districts located in in Wisconsin and Illinois. In this role, my primary focus is training and developing school administrators and teachers as leader-coaches.

Since 2002, I have been a strategic partner of The Cardinal Stritch University Leadership Center in Milwaukee, WI where I was one of the founders of the Coaching for Leaders Program and continue to serve as master coach, instructor and mentor to developing coaches. Additionally, I am a facilitator and executive coach for its African American Leadership Program, an innovative development course for corporate executives and non-profit leaders.

Prior to establishing Wide Awake, Inc., in searching for my most authentic work expression, I had a very eclectic professional background that included leadership roles for companies in the telecommunications, insurance, management consulting and personal development industries. I have served as an executive coach for many Fortune 500 corporate executives nationwide including Allstate, Sears, Hughes Aircraft, Manpower, Harley-Davidson, Northwestern Mutual, Johnson Controls and GE.

I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology and economics from York College. Lastly, in my desire to continue my growth as a coach I received intensive coach development in Integral Coaching at New Ventures West in San Francisco, CA.
