An aspiring professional in the film and television industry, Sawyer Petrick holds a bachelor of arts in film from The New School, where he received high honors and an A for his capstone senior screenplay The Newsboy Racket. Sawyer Petrick was also accepted into the school’s 9th Annual Voice/Over Script Reading Competition with his original screenplay Peace Be Upon You.
Most recently, Mr. Petrick worked as a writer with Whole Picture Films in New York City, consulting on the script for feature film The Speech. Additionally, he participated in the creation of the web series The Look, which involved consulting on episode one and writing episode two. Previously, Mr. Petrick served as a bar back at Union Square Café and at Bryant Park Grill. These positions gave him valuable experience in multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment, as well as providing high-quality front-of-house customer service and developing effective communication skills.
In his free time, Mr. Petrick enjoys reading, listening to music, and playing the guitar.
