An individual with autism in Boulder, CO, Scott Klumb has been working as a photographer and film and video professional for over a decade. He worked as a contract employee with ESPN early in his career, creating segments out of the winter sports mecca of Breckenridge, CO. For the past 8 years, Scott Klumb has owned and operated Boulder’s SMK Media.
In addition to producing action sports footage, Scott Klumb has completed significant work through SMK Media on the subject of autism. His autobiographical film Autism: One Man’s Journey focused on his own challenges in the face of a late autism diagnosis at the age of 23. This film also included his personal interview with Dr. Temple Grandin.
Mr. Klumb most recently released the short documentary film Autism Ability, which examines the positive implications of autism in his life. Autism Ability garnered him a number of industry honors, including a best editor award from Warner Entertainment.
