The recipient of a bachelor's degree in finance from Boston University, Scott Russian began his career as an analyst at Intel Corporation in 2000. He later joined Loomis, Sayles & Company as an associate, and was promoted to vice president within a year of working at the Boston, Massachusetts, firm. While in this role, Scott Russian earned an MBA in finance from Boston College.

From there, Scott Russian joined Liberty Mutual Investments, where he spent 12 years as director at the firm. During this time, he co-managed a leveraged loan portfolio worth more than $1 billion, and consistently outperformed leveraged loan and high-yield index benchmarks. He achieved this via collaborative partnerships with brokers, rating agencies, and sell-side, fixed-income analysts, while maintaining compliance with applicable risk parameters. In addition, he passed on his knowledge and expertise to several junior analysts in a mentorship role.

Since 2019, Mr. Russian has leveraged his experience to assist wealth management and institutional investment firms with research and portfolio management activities through SCR Consulting. Complementing this experience, he is a CFA® charterholder.
