Seward Motor Freight is a truckload company that has been based in Seward, Nebraska, since the early 1940s. It currently provides service within 37 of the 48 contiguous US states, but the majority of its operational activity occurs within 1,200 miles radius of the terminal. The company primarily transports general commodities in 53' dry box trailers that feature some of the latest aero dynamics for fuel saving. Currently the company is experimenting with automatic lift axles on trailers to reduce drag, wear and tear on equipment and improve fuel economy. Seward Motor Freight has a fleet of late model Peterbilt, International, and Volvo semi-tractors and some of the old classic 379 Peterbilts.
A proud partner of the US Environmental Protection Agency’s SmartWay program since 2013, the company supports green transportation practices on and off the highways. With competitive wages, great benefits, health care, 401(k) retirement plan, bonus programs, scholarship offers and training programs keep the company in the fore front of the industry. Keeping the driver in mind when performing their jobs all tractors are spec’d to provide the latest driver comforts, loading and unloading time is kept to a minimum, 65 percent or more is drop/hook and 95 percent is no touch freight and traffic routes that maximize the interstate system. We learn from the past and take an open door approach for new ideas and technology for the future.
