With an extensive background in human resources and health care quality improvement, Shalama Brooks serves as chief quality officer with Augustus International Enterprise. She consults with a wide range of healthcare organizations in areas such as product development and benefit design. Among the solutions Shalama Brooks provides are those spanning electronic health records and revenue cycle management.

Previously serving as senior director, clinical quality with United Healthcare Services, Inc., Ms. Brooks guided an improvement initiative focused on Medicaid quality management strategy. She also set in place state partnerships in support of Delaware’s State Innovation Grant model, which focused on improved coordination and care quality. Her efforts enabled the UnitedHealth Group to navigate Delaware Medicaid’s re-bid and award process and secure a five-year contract.

Ms. Brooks holds a BS in health systems management from the University of Baltimore and completed a graduate degree in health care administration at the University of Maryland. Shalama Brooks has also holds a master's in public health from Kaplan University.
