A graduate of Northern Virginia Community College, Shana Lynn Davis holds an AA degree in information technology. Throughout her time at community college, she worked full-time as a waitress at the Cheesecake Factory while maintaining a 3.6 grade point average. As a server she provided prompt, friendly service in accordance with the restaurant’s standards, described menu items, took orders, and delivered food and beverages. Shana Lynn Davis held this position for three years and received numerous compliments from guests and was mentioned in several Yelp reviews.

After graduating from community college Ms. Davis enrolled at George Mason University, and she continues to work towards her bachelor’s in business and marketing at the institution. Her ability to balance work and academics has carried on through her time in the bachelor’s program and she has held a 3.8 GPA despite working full time at various companies. She served as a bartender at Story and Eden. In these two roles, Ms. Davis handled such tasks as coordinating server teams, greeting guests, and handling cash receipts. Her capabilities has allowed her to progress in the hospitality and food service industry. Shana recently started a new position and job as lead bartender for an upscale restaurant in Tyson's Corner - Eddie V's. Her selection was highly competitive; requiring extensive know of restaurant and bar operations including an expanded list of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks; complementing her skills supporting restaurant and bar operations.

Through these positions, Ms. Davis had the opportunity to improve both her organizational and communication skills. She also demonstrated the ability to quickly learn new areas of interest.
