A clerk with the Kentwood, Michigan-based law firm Visser and Associates, Shawn Eric Gillum builds upon a career begun in Greater Denver, Colorado. This work includes tenures as an associate attorney with The Orr Law Firm, general counsel with the Hope Online Learning Academy, and a deputy district attorney with the First Judicial District’s Office of the District Attorney. Shawn Eric Gillum holds a juris doctor from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, where he graduated in the top 11 percent of his class with a GPA of 3.57.

Mr. Gillum also holds a cum laude bachelor of arts in journalism with a political science minor from Colorado State University in Fort Collins. He has worked as a news reporter with KCWY/Channel 13 in Casper, Wyoming, and WOOD/Channel 8 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. While at KCWY he also served as a weekday evening news anchor and producer, and frequently drew upon his legal expertise to contribute on-air legal analysis during the coverage of high-profile cases.
