Possessing more than two decades of legal experience, Sherb Sentell serves as a partner of the Sentell Law Firm in Minden, Louisiana (http://www.sentelllaw.com). He focuses primarily on trial litigation and suits regarding contract law, personal injury, and brings suits on behalf of families who lose a loved one from wrongful death claims, such as automobile accidents. Additionally, his firm handles cases that range from insurance claims and medical malpractice to wills and succession. The Sentell Law Firm represents Minden residents and people from all across north Louisiana who have been injured. Sherb Sentell is also the duly elected Minden-Ward 1 City Judge and he presides over civil dispute trials with jurisdiction over six municipalities (Minden, Sibley, Doyline, Dixie Inn, Dubberly, and Heflin) as well as the southern half of Webster Parish.
Prior to establishing his legal career, Sherb Sentell graduated from Louisiana State University (LSU) Law School and wrote an article that was published in the Louisiana Law Review, the university’s nationally recognized law journal. For his accomplishments, Sherb Sentell has also been inducted into the LSU Law Center Hall of Fame.
Sherb Sentell worked as a law clerk for Federal Judge Donald E. Walter after graduating from LSU and later joined the Webster Parish District Attorney’s Office and became the Chief Assistant District Attorney. As the lead prosecutor, he tried dozens of criminal cases involving serious felony charges such as murder, robbery, rape, and child molestation. In his thirteen years as a prosecutor, Sherb holds the distinct honor of never losing a jury trial. Sherb Sentell currently also serves on the board of directors for Citizens National Bank and is a past Minden Medical Center Board of Directors chairman.
