After earning his bachelor of arts in molecular biophysics/biochemistry and economics from Yale University in 1993, Dr. Shilesh Iyer secured his doctor of medicine with honors from the New York University School of Medicine and completed a general internship in internal medicine at the Harvard Medical School’s Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. Dr. Shilesh Iyer subsequently specialized in dermatology through a residency with the University of California Los Angeles Division of Dermatology and an American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery fellowship through Dermatology Associates/Cosmetic Laser Associates in San Diego.

Dr. Iyer has practiced with the New York Dermatology Group since 2005 after having practiced in Beverly Hills and Los Angeles. His work with these New York City organizations ranges from performing laser dermatological surgery to administering Botox filler injections. He is particularly adept at the treatment of the varying skin tones of different ethnicities. In addition to treating patients directly, Dr. Shilesh Iyer has authored a range of book chapters and peer-reviewed articles.
