One of few California attorneys to hold certification in medicare set aside issues, Slade J. Neighbors is a certified medicare secondary payer professional (MSCC) and a medicare set aside certified consultant (CMSP). He also has decades of experience in the field of workers' compensation law and labor law. As the head of his own law practice in Los Angeles, Slade J. Neighbors handles cases for clients ranging from third-party administrators and employers to insurers before the Supreme Court of California, the state's Courts of Appeal, and the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board.
Alongside his legal practice, Slade Neighbors has served as a pro tem workers' compensation judge for Los Angeles County and conducted seminars on a variety of issues related to workers' compensation law. Local television stations have also interviewed him on the subject.
Throughout his career, he has worked with the district attorney's office and the California Department of Insurance to prevent employee fraud. His work has touched on legislation ranging from the California Fair Employment and Housing Act to the Americans with Disabilities Act.
