Over the past decade, Sonia Gupta has worked in several industries and across several disciplines. A former attorney, Sonia Gupta spent several years with different offices, including the New Orleans Public Defenders office.

While there, she maintained an open caseload of over 200 cases while also mentoring law clerks. Over the following years, she held roles with the City of a Lafayette as well as the Louisiana Department of Justice before segueing into software development. Sonia made the transition after earning a web development certificate from the Turing School of Software and Design.

Following this, Sonia Gupta worked with Tokken as an apprentice platform developer. While there, she gained experience utilizing Javascript and Ruby on Rails to help create the firm’s mobile app. She was also responsible for debugging Tokken’s original app.

Most recently, Sonia was a developer advocate at InfluxData. Engaging with website users, she was responsible for answering questions and troubleshooting issues. She also regularly created and published blog posts centered around the company’s products.
